JEFFERY M. FREESEMANN, MD received his medical doctorate from Georgetown Medical School where he graduated Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society which is top 15% of the class. He took his internship and residency at Oregon Health Sciences University. Dr. Freesemann is Board Certified and his areas of interest are osteoporosis, cardiology, and geriatrics. He serves on the Board of San Joaquin Community Hospital and the Executive Board of the Kern County Medical Society.
   
J. MICHAEL HEWITT, MD, MBBS, FACP, MRCP, FRCPC, FACP, MS Ed, originally from London, has practiced in Great Britain and Canada. He settled in Bakersfield in 1991 and specializes in Gastroenterology. Dr. Hewitt is an Associate Professor of Medicine at UCLA and is on teaching staff at Kern Medical Center.
   
KEITH L. SEIDENSTRICKER, MD earned his medical doctorate at Loma Linda University School of Medicine, his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from Andrews University in Michigan. He interned at Loma Linda University Medical Center and specializes in comprehensive family medicine. Dr. Seidenstricker is licensed by the National Board of Medical Examiners and holds a Physician’s and Surgeon’s License in the State of California. He earned his Board Certification in Ambulatory Medicine in 2000.
   
ALBERT J. PEINADO, MD is a graduate of USC School of Medicine and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He did his internship and residency at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center. His areas of interest are primary disease prevention and health care maintenance. He enjoys outdoor activities from surfing to fishing and also being a "Soccer Dad".
   
JINA PAPPAS, RN, MSN, CCRN, FNP, a native Californian, received her Bachelor of Science from California State University, Bakersfield, both in Nursing and Business Administration and Master of Science in Nursing Administration. Prior to her position at Highgrove Medical Center as Office Administrator and Family Nurse Practitioner, she served as Vice President of Clinical Services at the Bakersfield Heart Hospital. Her specialty is Clinical Research. She also operates our Aescala Skin Clinic.
   

VINCENT J. MADDELA, MD received his medical doctorate in Manila, the Philippines at the University of Santo Tomas. He did his Family Practice residency in Wichita Falls, Texas. He is a member of the Kern County Medical Society. Dr. Maddela is Board Certified in Family Practice and is fluent in Filipino.
   
ADAM R. KLANG, MD, born in San Francisco, is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He attended UC Santa Barbara and received his medical degree from American University of the Caribbean. He served his internship and residency at Kern Medical Center and is bi-lingual in Spanish. His special interests include diabetes, heart disease and geriatrics. Dr. Klang is on the teaching staff at Kern Medical Center.
   
ALAN V. THOMAS, PA-C, graduated from UC Davis PA/NP Program. Alan worked at Kern Medical Center as a respiratory therapist for seven years. Alan was a registered respiratory therapist at Kern Medical Center for seven years. Alan worked in cardiac and thoracic surgery for two years prior to returning to primary care. Alan specializes in caring for diabetic patients and operates our Dizzy Clinic. Alan enjoys being involved with his church's youth group.
   
ERIKA A. ROMANANI, MS, PA-C, a native of Bakersfield, received her Bachelor of Science degree from Pepperdine University and her Master of Science through the PA program at Baylor Medical School in Houston, Texas. She specializes in Women’s Health.
   
BRUCE G. DAINS, PA-C graduated from the Primary Care Associates program at Stanford University. He was in emergency medicine as a Paramedic prior to becoming a certified Physician Assistant.
   
HEMMAL S. KOTHARY is Board Certified in Family Practice. He received his undergraduate degree from California State University- Riverside and his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica. He served his residency at Kern Medical Center. In his spare time, he enjoys participating in most outdoor sports and activities.
   
REGINA A. NG, MD is Board Certified in Family Practice. She received her undergraduate from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio and her medical degree from Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. She served her residency at Kern Medical Center and is bilingual in Spanish.
